Things to Do in Park City: A Private Chef's Local Guide

Park City is one of our busiest markets — ski residencies in winter, Sundance in January, reunion and wedding summers — so this guide is what we actually tell guests when they ask what to do between meals.

Historic Main Street and the town lift

Start with the silver-mining bones of the place: Main Street's galleries, the Park City Museum, and the Town Lift that loads right off the street. The Egyptian Theatre anchors the historic district, and the No Name Saloon is the room every visitor ends up in once.

Utah Olympic Park

The 2002 Games left Park City a working Olympic training site you can visit — bobsled runs, aerial shows in summer, ziplines and adventure courses, and athletes training in plain view. It's ten minutes from town and the best half-day with kids in the valley.

Two resorts, two personalities

Park City Mountain is vast and family-friendly; Deer Valley is skiers-only, immaculately groomed, and hosts the summer concert series on its outdoor stage. In the shoulder months, drive Guardsman Pass while it's open — the aspen color in late September is the valley's best free show — and stop at the McPolin white barn for the photo everyone takes because it's worth taking. High West's distillery in town handles après duty.

The dinner move

Park City's restaurant scene is strong and completely overrun on peak weeks — Sundance dining is a contact sport. The move locals recommend to visiting groups: keep one or two marquee reservations, and let the rest of the week come to you. A private chef in Park City handles daily breakfast and dinner around your ski day, builds menus the day before service, and sources through the Salt Lake supply chain. For a lighter footprint, weekly meal prep in Park City keeps the fridge stocked for self-serve mornings.

Park City Trip FAQ

How much does a private chef cost in Park City?

Park City private chef dinners run $150–250 per person, all-inclusive. Multi-day ski-week residencies are quoted as one transparent number for the stay — see the pricing guide.

Do you serve Deer Valley and the Heber Valley?

Yes — Park City Mountain, Deer Valley, Empire Pass, the Colony, Promontory, and down into Heber and Midway. Slopeside residences and vacation rentals are the core of our Park City work.

What's the best season to visit Park City?

There isn't a wrong one. Ski season peaks December through March, Sundance takes over late January, and summer brings Deer Valley concerts, mountain biking, and 75-degree afternoons that feel unreal if you've just left the desert.
