How do MileHighCook gift cards work?
You choose an amount, check out securely, and the gift card is emailed instantly with a unique code and your personal message. The recipient enters that code on our quote form (or replies to the gift card email), we plan the event with them, and the card comes off the total for any private chef dinner, catering event, wedding, or meal prep.
I received a gift card. How do I use it?
Find the code in your gift card email (it starts with MHC-). Fill out our quote form and type the code in the Gift Card Code box, or reply to the gift card email. We reach out to plan the menu and the date, and the card comes off the total. Any amount above the card is paid when the date is booked, and anything left over stays on the card.
Do the gift cards expire?
No. MileHighCook gift cards never expire. If the event costs less than the card, the rest stays on the card for next time. Full gift card terms, including what happens to applied credit if a booking is cancelled, are in our Terms of Service.
What can a gift card be redeemed for?
Any MileHighCook service across all 40+ markets in Colorado, Arizona, Utah, and Wyoming: private chef dinners, special-occasion dining, hands-on cooking classes, luxury catering, wedding catering, and weekly meal prep.
Can I send the gift card directly to the recipient?
Yes. At checkout you can add the recipient's name, email, and a personal message, and we'll deliver it straight to them. Prefer to give it yourself? Leave the email blank and we'll send the certificate to you to forward or print.
How much should I give?
Whatever feels right as a gift. Every event we cook is priced to its menu and guest list, so the card goes toward the total rather than covering a set night, and anything above it is paid when the date is booked. You can pick $250, $500 or $1,000, or enter any amount from $50 to $10,000. If you want the whole night covered, use Cover the Whole Occasion and Steve will price it for you, so they book with nothing left to pay.
Can I pay for the entire occasion as a gift?
Yes. Use the Cover the Whole Occasion button and tell us who it is for, the occasion, a rough date, and the guest count. Steve reaches out to plan it with you and prices it. Once the plan is set, you get a gift certificate for the exact amount, ready to give, and the recipient books the date with nothing left to pay.
How is the gift card delivered?
