What We Run

Every Program, Every Group

In the mountains a private chef booking is more often a residency. Breakfast through dinner for a family staying a week. The guest count changes as people come and go. We plan for that. Vail Village. Deer Valley. Teton Village. Red Mountain in Sedona. Same chef, same kitchen, a different menu every night.

01

Ski Weeks

Come off the mountain to dinner already underway. Hearty après plates. Slope-fuel breakfasts on request. A celebration night or two across the week. Vail, Breckenridge, Park City, Snowmass, Winter Park, Teton Village. See the Vail ski week program.

Winter
02

Family Reunions & Holiday Residencies

Three generations under one roof. A 16-person Christmas residency on Red Mountain. A 12-person holiday week at a Colony home. Kids and adult menus running in parallel. Christmas through New Year and Presidents' Week book first.

Wellness Retreats

Plant-forward, vegan, anti-inflammatory, and detox-aligned menu programs. Yoga retreat pairings in Sedona. Dietary continuity across every meal of the stay, not just dinner.

Bachelor & Bachelorette Weekends

One big dinner or the whole weekend in the rental. The chef shops, cooks, serves, and leaves the kitchen spotless. Nobody in the group cooks. Read our mountain bachelorette guide.

Vacation Rental Hosting

Chalet, condo, ranch, or Airbnb. We audit the kitchen before arrival and bring whatever equipment closes the gap. Hosts can offer a chef dinner as a welcome amenity. Read hiring a private chef for your Airbnb.

How It Works

Simple from Start to Finish

① You share your dates, property, and headcount
② We send an all-inclusive custom proposal within 24 hours
③ A 50% deposit secures your dates
④ We build the menus around your group before you arrive
⑤ Chef arrives 2.5 to 3 hours before your first meal, every day

Chef Steve Ingber designs every menu personally. Many residencies are cooked by Steve himself. Others are cooked by a vetted partner chef from our network executing the menu Steve built. Either way, you'll know who's cooking before you confirm. Altitude changes how food cooks. Our chefs are trained for it.

Frequently Asked

Ski Week & Retreat FAQ

What groups ask before they hand over the kitchen for a week.

You book a chef for one or more evenings during your stay, or for breakfast through dinner across the whole week. The chef arrives 2.5 to 3 hours before your first guest, handles all shopping and prep, serves the meal, then cleans up completely. You just enjoy. Many groups book a single celebration dinner. Others book multiple nights across a ski week, which we're happy to package.
For multi-night residencies, pricing is structured per day and includes chef time, all ingredients sourced through regional producers, prep, daily service, and end-of-stay cleanup. For retreats and corporate hosting, breakfast through dinner across the program is bundled into a single per-day, per-guest figure. Dinners start from $150 per person, all-inclusive. Pricing scales with guest count, course count, and complexity.
Ski week programs run for groups of 4 to 20. Holiday residencies of 12 to 16 across three generations are routine. Below about 8 guests the chef cooks solo. Between 8 and 20 we typically add a sous chef or service support depending on course count. Above 20 the format starts to overlap with catering, and we scope it that way.
Whatever the stay needs. Breakfast through dinner is the standard retreat scope. Ski weeks often run slope-fuel breakfasts on request, an après spread when everyone comes off the mountain, and a full dinner. Tell us the rhythm of your days and we build the service around it.
Yes. Chalet, condo, ranch, vacation rental, or private residence. No venue, no buildout. Before each booking we audit the kitchen (range, oven count, prep space) and bring whatever supplemental equipment closes the gap. The kitchen goes back to host standard every night.
For peak windows, Vail and Aspen ski season, Park City during Sundance, Christmas through New Year, and Presidents' Week, book 2 to 4 months out. Corporate retreats book 6 to 9 months out. Off-peak weeks are routinely available 2 to 4 weeks ahead. Send the dates and we'll tell you within hours whether we can take them.
Yes. Gluten-free, dairy-free, paleo, keto, vegetarian, vegan, and allergen-strict (tree nut, shellfish, soy, sesame) are all standard. For severe allergies we bring our own cutting boards and pans for cross-contamination control. Kids and adult menus run in parallel. We build custom menus around your group's needs before your arrival.
Steve Ingber is the Executive Chef and owner, CIA-trained, and the person who designs every menu personally. Many bookings are cooked by Steve himself. Others are cooked by a vetted partner chef from our network executing the menu Steve built. Either way, the standard is the same, and you'll know who's cooking before you confirm.
No. MileHighCook chefs are stationed locally in each market we serve, so there are no travel fees regardless of your location within our service area. All distance is built into the all-inclusive proposal.
Yes. Confidentiality clauses and NDAs are standard for high-discretion work. Hedge fund and private-equity offsites, family-office events, and entertainment-industry hosting all routinely involve discretion requirements. Tell us your standards in the inquiry and we'll execute accordingly.
Send your dates, guest count, property, and any dietary or occasion notes through the form. Within 24 hours you'll get a custom proposal: suggested menus, the all-inclusive number, and a brief on the kitchen and logistics. A 50% deposit secures your dates. Most bookings finalize in two or three exchanges.
