Private Chef in Winter Park
for the rental full of people who came to ski, not to cook

Winter Park is Colorado’s closest major ski resort to Denver — about 67 miles up the hill — which makes it the go-to for families and groups who want a real mountain week without flying into Eagle or Aspen. The lodging is overwhelmingly vacation rentals, condos, townhomes, and private chalets rather than hotels, spread across Winter Park proper and the neighboring towns of Fraser and Tabernash in the Fraser Valley.

That changes what a private chef is for. This isn’t an established-resident estate market — it’s a destination ski-week market. The pattern is a big rental full of people who came to ski and ride, and nobody wants to spend the trip grocery shopping, cooking, and cleaning for ten. We bring the dinner to the rental.

MileHighCook cooks across the Winter Park and Fraser Valley rental landscape. Lakota and the Antlers at Lakota townhomes (directly across from the resort, ski-slope views). Rendezvous and Grand Park (planned communities in Fraser with private homes and townhomes). Old Town Winter Park (walkable, close to the base). Plus Porcupine Ridge, Iron Horse, and the cabins around Tabernash and Granby.

The menus lean into the trip: hearty après-ski dinners, slope-fuel breakfasts, and a celebration night or two — Colorado beef and game, fondue and raclette, big shareable formats for the group, plus refined plated courses when the occasion calls for it. Altitude (Winter Park base sits around 9,000 ft) shapes how we cook, season, and pace the meal.

Multi-family and large-group trips are the norm here — we’re built to cook for the whole house, not just a couple. Request a custom proposal →

Dinner In Your Rental,
Group-Sized, Altitude-Calibrated

Our work happens in your rental. We arrive with the groceries, cook in your chalet or condo kitchen, serve the whole group, and clean up completely before we leave — so your vacation stays a vacation. No mid-trip grocery runs, no one stuck cooking for the house, no 67-mile drive back toward Denver to find a good dinner.

Menus are built for a ski trip: hearty après-ski dinners, big-batch comfort done at a high level, fondue and raclette nights, and a celebration dinner or two. Colorado beef and game, slope-fuel breakfasts on request, kid-friendly options running alongside an adult menu. Wine pairings, alcohol-free programs, and full dietary accommodation all on the table.

A 12-guest après-ski dinner at a Lakota townhome across from the resort. A 30-guest multi-family New Year’s dinner in a Grand Park chalet. A 6-guest anniversary tasting menu in Old Town. A week of nightly dinners for a corporate retreat in Rendezvous. A 50-guest extended-family reunion across a cluster of Fraser rentals.

Our All-Inclusive approach is one transparent quote covering chef time, ingredients, prep, service, and end-of-meal cleanup. Winter Park base sits near 9,000 ft, and altitude genuinely affects cooking, seasoning, and pacing — we’re a Colorado mountain operation and we cook for it.

Pricing is structured per-event with one transparent All-Inclusive number — chef time, all groceries, prep, service, and full cleanup, no add-ons. Rates scale with guest count, number of courses, parallel kid-and-adult or dietary menus, and beverage complexity. Many groups book a single celebration dinner; others book multiple nights across a ski week, which we’re happy to package. Peak weeks (Christmas, New Year’s, Presidents’, spring break) are the windows that fill first.
Yes — vacation rentals, condos, townhomes, and chalets are the core of our Winter Park work, because that’s how almost everyone stays here. We’re comfortable cooking in a wide range of rental kitchens, from compact condo setups to full chalet kitchens, and we bring any specialty equipment a smaller kitchen lacks. Just tell us the property (or send the listing link) during planning so we can scope the kitchen ahead of time.
Winter Park trips are group trips, and we’re built for it — from an intimate dinner for 6 up to 50+ guests for multi-family reunions, friend groups, and corporate retreats, including parties spread across a cluster of nearby rentals. For the largest groups we bring additional service staff and plan the menu format (shareable family-style, stations, or plated) around the space and headcount.
Absolutely — it’s one of the most popular ways groups use us. We can cook several dinners across your stay, add slope-fuel breakfasts, and plan one elevated celebration night, all built so the menus don’t repeat and the week flows. Multi-night bookings get a single coordinated proposal. This is ideal for big families and corporate retreats who’d rather not think about food logistics for the whole trip.
Every menu is custom, but ski-week menus lean into the setting: hearty après-ski dinners, Colorado beef and game, fondue and raclette nights, and big shareable comfort formats done at a high level — plus refined plated courses for a celebration night. We run kid-friendly options alongside an adult menu so families are covered, and we’re glad to do lighter or globally-inspired menus on request.
Yes, and it’s routine for group trips. Gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, keto, paleo, and serious allergies are all handled, and we can run parallel menus at the same table so a mixed group — kids, dietary needs, and everyone else — eats well together. Send the full list during the questionnaire phase and we’ll build around it.
For Christmas week, New Year’s, Presidents’ week, and spring break, book as early as you can — ideally when you lock the rental, since those weeks fill first. Off-peak ski-season dates are usually comfortable at 2-4 weeks out, and we can sometimes accommodate shorter notice. The sooner we know your dates and headcount, the better we can hold the slot.
We serve Winter Park proper — Lakota, Old Town, and the slopeside complexes — plus the Fraser Valley communities of Rendezvous, Grand Park, Fraser, and Tabernash, and the cabins toward Granby and Grand Lake in Grand County. Travel within the area is built into the All-Inclusive proposal, so there are no separate distance surcharges. Vail, Breckenridge, and our other Colorado mountain markets are a short drive away — see our Vail and Breckenridge pages.
