Holiday Private Chef

A private chef for Thanksgiving, Christmas week, Hanukkah, and New Year's Eve — cooked and served in your home or vacation rental across the Mountain West. Single dinners or multi-day service. Most dinners run $150–250 per person. Written proposal within 24 hours.

The Season, Handled

Five Weeks. Every Date Matters.

The measure of a good holiday is whether the host got to be there for it. A private chef is the difference between hosting Christmas and spending Christmas in the kitchen: menus set in advance, groceries handled, every course cooked and served on-site, and a clean kitchen at the end of the night.

We run single-night dinners and multi-day holiday weeks — the Christmas-to-New-Year's stretch in a ski house is our busiest booking of the year, and multiple chefs for one large gathering is normal for us, not an exception.

The Calendar

When the Dates Actually Go

How the calendar actually moves: Christmas-week chefs in the ski markets are booked by mid-October. New Year's Eve goes almost as fast. Thanksgiving holds out longest, but the best dates are gone three weeks ahead.

Late to it? Ask anyway — we hold short-notice capacity, and same-day service is a normal request for us. If the season's truly full, a gift card turns a missed December into a January dinner nobody has to cook.

What We Cook For

The Three Events of the Season

01

Christmas Week in the Mountains

Multi-day service in your rental or second home — breakfasts before the lifts, dinners after last chair, Christmas Eve done properly. One chef, the whole week if you want it.

Ski-town chefs book by mid-October
02

Thanksgiving & Holiday Dinners

The full seated dinner — Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah — cooked in your own kitchen and served at your own table, with nothing for the host to do but sit down.

03

New Year's Eve at Your Table

A course-by-course tasting menu that beats any reservation in town, served through midnight, with the kitchen clean before the toast.

The Other Holiday Move

Give the Season's Best Seat

MileHighCook gift cards come in $250, $500, and $1,000 — or any custom amount — delivered by email within minutes and redeemable against any service in any market. A chef-cooked dinner is the gift still being talked about in February. Buying on Christmas Eve still lands in time.

Holiday Questions

Asked Every December

Most holiday dinners run $150–250 per person, all-inclusive — menu design, groceries, cooking, service, and cleanup. Multi-day Christmas-week service is quoted as one written number for the whole stay. The private chef pricing guide has the full breakdown.
Yes — multi-day service is the core of our ski-season work. Breakfasts, aprés, and dinners across the full stay, with the menu set before you land and the kitchen stocked when you arrive. Book by mid-October for Christmas week.
Yes. Those nights are why we exist, and we staff for them deliberately. They also sell out first — Christmas week is usually set by mid-October, and New Year's Eve follows fast.
Yes — holiday tables collect restrictions: gluten-free, nut allergies, vegan seats beside traditionalists, kosher-style preparation. Every requirement is confirmed in the questionnaire phase, allergens get separate prep workflows, and nobody at the table eats an afterthought.
Yes, routinely. Large gatherings and simultaneous services get a chef-led team sized to the event. It's a normal booking for us, not a special arrangement.
Yes — gift cards come in $250, $500, and $1,000, or any custom amount, delivered by email within minutes (Christmas Eve included). They redeem against any service in any market.
Forty-plus markets across Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and Wyoming — every market in the directory above, from the Vail-to-Aspen corridor and Park City to Jackson Hole, Denver, and Scottsdale. Travel is built into the proposal.
