Learn to Cook where you gather & entertain

Teton Village is the polished side of the valley — the Four Seasons, the slopeside chalets, the tram leaving from the base of Rendezvous, the village built so you don't need to drive into town to make the trip work. Guests stay here because the mountain is the trip; the town of Jackson is the side excursion, not the other way around. A hands-on cooking class is a natural anchor for an evening in that setup: dinner where the day already happened, with nothing about it that requires leaving the village.

We teach in the kitchens the resort base was built around — serious equipment, alpine views out the window, the kind of setting that earns a refined menu. Classes are calibrated for mountain cooking, with altitude-adjusted technique built in, and a pace that matches the rhythm of a slopeside stay: hands-on for everyone, finished cleanly, nothing left for you to handle.

Teton Village Cooking Classes

Three Ways to Cook With Us

Every class is built around your skill level, your kitchen or venue, and the cuisine you want to learn. Choose the format that fits — each one is led personally by a CIA-trained chef, not a coordinator.

01

Private In-Home Class

One-on-one or a small household in your own kitchen. Choose the cuisine, set the pace, and learn the techniques you'll actually use — from knife skills to a full multi-course menu. Ideal for couples, families, and gifts.

1-8 Guests
02

Group Class

A hands-on class for the slopeside crowd — family ski weeks, milestone celebrations, friend trips that took over a chalet at the base. Everyone cooks, everyone learns, and the night ends with the meal you made together.

10-20 Guests
03

Corporate Team-Building

Team-building that fits a resort-base offsite. Competitive cook-offs or collaborative menus for groups of 15 to 100 — suited to executive retreats and incentive trips at Teton Village. We handle setup, instruction, and the shared meal at the end.

15-100 Guests

What You'll Cook

A Custom Curriculum,
Built Around What You Want to Learn

There's no fixed syllabus. Every class starts with a short conversation about what the group wants out of it — a relaxed hands-on dinner, a refined alpine menu, finally learning something specific, or a competitive cook-off for a corporate group. We build the curriculum around that, and around the kitchen we'll be cooking in.

Because Chef Steve is CIA-trained and has cooked across 30+ markets, classes go beyond recipes into real technique — the why behind the method, so what you learn carries into every meal you cook afterward. Mountain-kitchen adjustments for Teton Village's altitude are built in.

How It Works

From Inquiry to Apron On

A chef-led class designed around a real conversation — not a fixed syllabus or a packed group-class roster you get slotted into.

01

Inquire

Submit the form above or call us directly with your format, group size, and dates.

Booking platforms slot you into a fixed public class.

02

Curriculum Call

A 15-minute call to scope skill level, cuisine, dietary needs, and your kitchen or venue.

Most classes hand you a set menu with no input.

03

Custom Class Plan

Within 24 hours: a tailored class outline, dish list, and what to expect on the day.

Generic classes repeat the same menu every week.

04

Chef Arrives

We bring ingredients, tools, and a CIA-trained chef to your home or venue. You bring the appetite.

Studio classes mean travel, parking, and someone else's kitchen.

05

Cook & Sit Down

Hands-on cooking, real technique, then everyone sits down to enjoy the meal together.

Demo-only classes mean you watch instead of cook.

The MileHighCook Difference

Three Principles, Every Class

While most cooking classes are fixed-menu, demo-style sessions in a rented studio, every MileHighCook class is built around three principles.

One Chef. One Owner.
One Standard.

Chef Steve teaches and oversees every class personally. Not a rotating instructor, not a sub-contractor. The person who designs your curriculum is the one in your kitchen.

Custom Curriculum

Every class designed around your skill level, your guests, and the cuisine you want to learn. No fixed syllabus. No one-size-fits-all menu. Yours, not ours.

Hands-On, In Your Space

You cook — this is not a demo. We come to your home or venue with everything needed, so you learn in the kitchen you'll actually use.

We bring everything — ingredients, specialty tools, and a CIA-trained chef. You just provide the kitchen and the people. In Teton Village, that's often a rental home or chalet kitchen, which works perfectly for a hands-on class.
All of them. We tailor every class to the group — complete beginners learning knife skills, confident home cooks leveling up technique, or a mixed group where everyone works at their own pace. The curriculum call is where we calibrate it.
It can, and that's part of the value of learning here. At Teton Village elevation, boiling points, baking, and timing shift — we teach the adjustments as we go, so the techniques you learn actually work in a mountain kitchen.
A private class (1–8 guests) is built entirely around you — your kitchen, your pace, your menu. A group class (10–20) is a livelier, social format for friends, families, or celebrations. Both are hands-on and led personally by Chef Steve.
Yes. Corporate sessions run from 15 to 100 guests and work as competitive team challenges or collaborative menus. They're popular for retreats and offsites in Teton Village — we handle setup, instruction, and the meal everyone shares at the end.
Most classes run 2–3 hours: hands-on cooking followed by sitting down to enjoy the meal you made together. Corporate sessions and multi-course classes can run longer — we'll confirm timing on the curriculum call.
Absolutely. We design the curriculum around any dietary needs — gluten-free, vegan, allergies, or specific protocols. Tell us on the intake call and we'll build a class everyone can fully take part in.
Whatever you want to cook. Popular starting points include fresh pasta, regional Italian and French, knife skills, date-night menus, and seasonal mountain cooking — but the class is shaped entirely around your request.
Yes — we come to you, whether that's a private residence, a rental home, or a chalet. Teton Village second-home and vacation-rental kitchens are some of our most common class settings.
Submit the form on this page or call (516) 996-1202. Pricing is per person and depends on format, group size, and menu — we'll send a custom quote within 24 hours along with available dates.
