Catering in Sedona, Arizona·A Local Lens

Sedona Catering
for the wellness-luxury market of the Southwest

Sedona catering operates in a distinctive lane — smaller in volume than Phoenix or Scottsdale but at the upper tier of per-event spend, with a clientele substantially shaped by the wellness industry. The Sedona International Film Festival in late February draws patron and visiting industry audiences across nine days. The Sedona Food and Wine Festival, the Verde Valley Wine Festival, and the Sedona Yoga Festival each anchor different audience segments throughout the year. The wedding market is one of Arizona's premier destinations for red-rock-backdrop ceremonies, with spend often $250k-$1M+.

MileHighCook caters across Seven Canyons, Mystic Hills, Back O' Beyond Ranch, Crimson View, Soldiers Pass, and ranch properties extending into the Verde Valley toward Cornville and Cottonwood. Plant-forward and vegan menu execution is a Sedona specialty — this is the strongest plant-forward demand in our entire footprint. We source obsessively from Verde Valley producers (Crow's Dairy, Cornville pork producers, Verde Valley vineyards) and bring the regional knowledge most local operators don't fully execute. Restaurant-Level Catering,
Plant-Forward Sedona Sensibility

MileHighCook's Sedona catering covers every detail — from custom menu design and Verde Valley sourcing to full kitchen execution at red-rock-view estates, professional service staff, equipment rentals when needed, and complete post-event cleanup. Sedona menus run plant-forward as a default, with parallel protein options where the guest mix calls for it; this is a market where an all-vegan tasting menu at a wedding rehearsal is more common than rare. We work the Verde Valley supply chain by name — Crow's Dairy cheese, Cornville pork, regional Arizona wines — not as a marketing claim but because the clientele expects it.

Whether you're hosting a 60-guest red-rock-backdrop ceremony reception, a 30-person wellness retreat dinner across multiple nights, or a Sedona Film Festival sponsor dinner at L'Auberge, our All-Inclusive approach means one transparent quote with no hidden add-ons. We work in private homes, vacation rentals, resort residences (L'Auberge de Sedona, Enchantment, Mii Amo, Amara), and event spaces throughout Sedona, Mystic Hills, the Boynton Canyon corridor, and the broader Verde Valley.

Every Menu, Custom-Built From Scratch

These are starting points, not packages. Most caterers and private chefs lock you into a small set of pre-built menus. We don't. Every MileHighCook menu is designed around your guests, your venue, your season, and your story. The dishes below are inspirations — what we might build for you.

Wagyu New York
Mountain Steakhouse, Elevated

Wagyu New York

Dry-aged Wagyu, charred allium purée, smoked bone marrow jus, root-vegetable hash. Could be reimagined with seasonal Colorado lamb or 14-day dry-aged ribeye.

Hokkaido Scallop Crudo
Coastal · Light · Refined

Hokkaido Scallop Crudo

Day-flown scallop, yuzu-kosho, finger lime, shiso oil. As one example of what's possible with sushi-grade fish flown in for a private dinner.

Black Truffle Risotto
Italian · Indulgent · Seasonal

Black Truffle Risotto

Carnaroli rice, aged Parmigiano, fresh black truffle shaved tableside (when in season). One direction for an Italian-inspired evening.

Whole-Roasted Cauliflower
Plant-Forward · Vibrant · Seasonal

Whole-Roasted Cauliflower

Heirloom cauliflower, brown butter dukkah, herbed labneh, charred lemon. A vegan-capable centerpiece that holds its own at any table.

Crispy Duck Breast
French Technique · Dramatic Plating

Crispy Duck Breast

Crispy-skin duck, cherry gastrique, parsnip purée, pickled mustard seed. As a starting point for a plated multi-course winter dinner.

Caviar Service

Caviar Service

Royal Ossetra, traditional accoutrements, blini, crème fraîche. One of countless ways we can elevate a cocktail hour or welcome reception.

The MileHighCook Difference

Sedona Catering, Built Around You

While most marketplaces, resort F&B teams, and volume operators rely on coordinators or printed banquet sheets, every MileHighCook event is built around three principles.

One Chef,
Not a Coordinator

Chef Steve plans and runs every event personally. No sales coordinator. No sub-contractor. The person you talk to on day one is the person on-site the night of.

Your Menu,
Not Their Banquet Sheet

Every menu built from scratch around your guests, your venue, your season. No package tiers. No printed banquet kit. No “pick three from column A.” Yours, not ours.

One Number,
Up Front

Spring (March-May) and fall (September-November) are peak Sedona windows and should book 6-12 months ahead, particularly for weddings. Winter holiday hosting (December-January) and the Film Festival window (late February) book 4-8 months out. Summer is the quietest season — Sedona summer events can often book 2-4 months out, and pricing is more flexible. The earlier you start the conversation, the more menu, team, and Verde Valley sourcing flexibility you have.
Yes — this is a Sedona specialty. The wellness-tourism market here drives uniquely high plant-forward and vegan demand: full-vegan tasting menus, anti-inflammatory programs, detox-aligned multi-day retreats, raw and macrobiotic sub-programs, GLP-1-aware portioning. We design parallel menus where the guest mix is split between plant-forward and protein-inclusive (e.g., the same dinner served vegan to half the room and as a Wagyu plate to the other half, with no compromise on either).
Yes. Resort residences and private estates throughout Sedona are regular venues. Each property has different vendor protocols — L'Auberge de Sedona has the most established destination-event infrastructure, Enchantment Resort and Mii Amo run substantial private hosting calendars, and Amara has its own pattern. We handle the venue coordination as part of the All-Inclusive proposal. Private estates in Seven Canyons, Mystic Hills, and Back O' Beyond are also regular.
Our All-Inclusive proposal covers chef and culinary team, all ingredients and Verde Valley sourcing, prep, cooking, plating, professional table service (servers, bartenders, attendants), equipment and rental needs (plates, glassware, linens when required), travel into Sedona and across the Verde Valley, and complete post-event cleanup. No hidden fees or surcharges.
Verde Valley sourcing is part of our standard Sedona process — Crow's Dairy in Goodyear for cheese, Cornville pork producers, Verde Valley vineyards (Page Springs, Caduceus, Alcantara, Pillsbury) for wine pairings, regional Arizona producers for produce in season. The locavore ethic in Sedona is genuine and the clientele knows the producers by name; we treat sourcing as a deliverable, not a buzzword.
Yes — this is a defining Sedona competency. Layered restrictions (gluten + dairy + nightshade + nut-free, for example) are routine here, far more common than in other markets. Plant-forward, vegan, raw, macrobiotic, anti-inflammatory, detox-aligned, and GLP-1-aware programs are all standard. Allergen handling uses separate prep workflows to prevent cross-contact. We confirm every dietary requirement during the questionnaire phase and design parallel menus when needed.
Yes. Multi-day wellness retreats at private estates and rental properties are a real and growing Sedona category — different from Scottsdale's pool-and-bar bachelor/bachelorette pattern. We design coherent multi-day menu arcs (cleanse-aligned, anti-inflammatory, plant-forward, or hybrid), align with retreat schedules and guided practices, and handle daily breakfast-through-dinner programming when scope calls for it.
Yes. Festival-week catering is a real category for us — brand activations, sponsor dinners, patron events, and after-hours private hosting during Sedona International Film Festival, Food and Wine Festival, Verde Valley Wine Festival, and Sedona Yoga Festival weeks are all regular work. We coordinate timing, security and access requirements, and sponsor logistics with your activation team or planner.
We serve Sedona Uptown, West Sedona, Seven Canyons, Mystic Hills, Back O' Beyond Ranch, Crimson View, Soldiers Pass, the Boynton Canyon corridor, and ranch properties extending into the Verde Valley toward Cornville and Cottonwood. Travel is built into the All-Inclusive proposal — you won't see Verde Valley distance surcharges added separately.
Reschedules are handled case-by-case. Generally: 90+ days out, full deposit transfers to the new date with no penalty. 30-90 days, partial transfer with re-stocking adjustment. Less than 30 days, depends on date availability and ingredient lead time. Sedona's spring and fall peaks are particularly tight given the demand window.
