Meal Prep in Denver, Colorado·A Local Lens

Restaurant-Grade Weekly Plates,
built around your protocol

Denver meal prep work is structurally different from event catering and from supermarket-tier weekly-meal services. The client archetype here: two-physician households, fitness-focused executives, kids'-activity families, and Cherry Hills empty-nesters. A meaningful GLP-1 cohort has reshaped the portion-and-macro brief. The food has to do real work. High-protein performance plates. Anti-inflammatory programming. GLP-1-aware portioning. Kosher and halal preparation as ongoing specialties.

Restaurant-grade execution is the differentiator. The plates that arrive Sunday afternoon are chef-prepared from raw ingredients in the same week. Not bulk batch-cook. Not flash-frozen. Not pre-cooked components.

The same CIA-trained chef-led team that runs Cherry Hills private dinner parties handles weekly meal prep production. Same Colorado-sourced proteins. Same plating discipline. Dietary-protocol precision holds up to medical-household scrutiny. We deliver across Cherry Hills Village, Greenwood Village, Polo Club, Hilltop, and downtown LoDo. Request a custom plan →

Chef-Prepared Plates,
Delivered Sunday Afternoon

MileHighCook's Denver meal prep runs as a weekly chef-prepared cycle. Dietary intake call to scope your protocol and household. Menu posted Wednesday for the following week. Sunday afternoon delivery in chef-grade containers. Eat-as-needed across the week. Plates are designed by a CIA-trained chef and prepared in the same week the food is delivered. Not batch-cooked. Not flash-frozen. Not pre-portioned.

Whether you run 5-10 plates a week as a single executive, a two-physician family with layered dietary protocols, or a GLP-1-cohort patient needing portion-aware programming — our weekly plan adapts. Kosher and halal households. Performance athletes on high-protein recovery. Pause for travel weeks. Scale up around hosting. Scale down during shoulder seasons. No long-term contract.

Protocol-Precise
Three Defining Households

Calibrated to Denver’s Three Defining Households

Cherry Creek / DTC Executive Longevity Households

Denver's executive class concentrates in Cherry Creek, the Denver Tech Center, and Greenwood Village. Leadership at Liberty Media, Newmont, and the DTC private-equity cluster. Partners at Davis Graham & Stubbs and Brownstein Hyatt. The dietary brief: Mediterranean-anchored, anti-inflammatory, longevity-protocol-aware. Bryan Johnson and Peter Attia influence is explicit. Weekly cycles run year-round with Aspen and Vail travel pauses.

  • Cycle profile: 5-day Mon-Fri delivery, individual or couple portioning
  • Macro lean: Mediterranean base, 35-40% protein, omega-3 emphasis, refined-carb minimization
  • Layering complexity: GLP-1-aware portion sizing, dairy-light or dairy-free, gluten-conscious — typically 2-3 protocols running in parallel within one household

LoHi / RiNo Creative-Class Households

Denver's creative class runs through LoHi, RiNo, Highland, and Berkeley. Tech founders and senior engineers (Guild, Ibotta, Gusto). Agency principals and restaurateurs. The architectural and design-firm leadership tier. The dietary brief is plant-forward and ingredient-curious. Seasonal CSA and Front Range-sourced proteins (Pastures Royale, Corner Post). Cycles run shorter and more rotation-heavy than the Cherry Creek lane.

  • Cycle profile: 4-day Mon-Thu delivery, frequent menu rotation
  • Macro lean: Plant-forward with grass-fed / pasture-raised protein anchors, vegetable-driven plate composition
  • Layering complexity: Pescatarian or flexitarian common, fermented-food integration, occasional Whole30 / elimination-protocol cycles

Front Range Endurance Athlete Households

The Boulder corridor and West-Denver foothills host one of the densest endurance-athlete populations in North America. Leadville 100 trainees and Rocky Mountain National Park ultra-runners. Road and gravel cyclists training for SBT GRVL and the Steamboat Stage Race. Masters-level skimo and Nordic competitive class. Weekly cycles are calibrated to training periodization. Base, build, peak, and taper. Not generic macro targets.

  • Cycle profile: 6-day delivery synced to long-workout days, training-load-aware portion scaling
  • Macro lean: Carb-periodized (high on long-workout days, moderate on recovery), 1.6-2.0 g/kg protein floor, glycogen-replenishment timing
  • Layering complexity: Pre/intra/post-workout fueling integration, GI-tolerance-tested for race-week, sodium and electrolyte calibration

Every Menu, Custom-Built From Scratch

These are starting points, not packages. Most caterers and private chefs lock you into a small set of pre-built menus. We don't. Every MileHighCook menu is designed around your guests, your venue, your season, and your story. The dishes below are inspirations — what we might build for you.

Herb-Crusted Wild Salmon
High-Protein · Anti-Inflammatory

Herb-Crusted Wild Salmon

Wild salmon, dukkah-herb crust, roasted delicata, garlic-massaged kale. Omega-3 forward, gluten-free baseline. Reheats clean across five days.

Braised Short Rib & Cauliflower Mash
Slow-Cooked · Family-Friendly

Braised Short Rib & Cauliflower Mash

Grass-fed short rib, red wine reduction, roasted-garlic cauliflower mash, charred broccolini with chili crisp. Holds beautifully across the week — flavor only deepens.

Whole-Roasted Cauliflower Steak
Plant-Forward · Vegan-Capable

Whole-Roasted Cauliflower Steak

Cauliflower steak, brown butter dukkah (or tahini for vegan), warm beluga lentils, herbed labneh, charred lemon. Vegan-capable centerpiece that holds across the week.

Miso-Glazed Cod & Coconut Rice
Portion-Aware · GLP-1-Friendly

Miso-Glazed Cod & Coconut Rice

Wild cod, white-miso glaze, coconut jasmine rice, ginger-soy bok choy. Gentle on digestion — works for GLP-1 protocols.

The MileHighCook Difference

Three Principles, Every Plate

While national meal services ship frozen boxes and chef apps rotate cooks weekly, every MileHighCook week is built around three principles.

Cooked This Week,
In Your Kitchen

Every container is prepped Sunday and stocked the same day. Nothing frozen, nothing flash-chilled in a Newark warehouse, nothing trucked across three time zones to thaw on your counter.

One Chef. One Owner.
One Standard.

Chef Steve oversees every weekly plan personally — not a coordinator, not a sub-contractor, not a 1099 cook routed through an app. The person who designs your menu is the person at the cutting board.

Sunday-Fresh,
Never Frozen

Cooked in your kitchen the day it's stocked. Nothing shipped, nothing frozen-then-thawed, nothing sitting in a regional fulfillment center. Five days of dinners that taste like day one.

The category is meaningfully different. Factor, HelloFresh, Snap Kitchen, and similar services run national or regional production kitchens at scale — plates are batch-cooked, packaged, and shipped or refrigerated for multi-day distribution. Our Denver meal prep is a chef-driven, single-week cycle: a CIA-trained chef-led team prepares your plates from raw ingredients in the same week the food is delivered. The pricing reflects the difference. We're not a substitute for $12/meal subscription services — we're a substitute for the household chef most of our clientele can't or doesn't want to keep on staff full-time. Many of our Denver meal prep clients also book us periodically for private dinner parties at home; the relationship is continuous.
Yes — layered dietary protocols are the default scope, not the exception. Two-physician households often run two different layered protocols across one weekly plan. The Denver client base also concentrates GLP-1-aware portioning, functional-medicine and longevity protocols, anti-inflammatory programming, autoimmune protocol (AIP), low-FODMAP, kosher, halal, and high-protein performance plans. We build the plan around your intake call and update it as protocols change.
Yes — the Denver GLP-1 cohort has reshaped a meaningful share of our weekly meal prep work over the last 18 months. The brief is specific: smaller portions that don't read as deprivation, lean protein-forward, low-glycemic carb structures, gentle on digestion (the GI-side effect profile of GLP-1 medications affects what foods work), and macro composition that supports muscle preservation during weight loss. We design and update plans accordingly. We're not a medical provider — we work alongside your physician's protocol.
Yes. Hilltop has one of the largest observant Jewish communities in the Mountain West, and kosher preparation has been an ongoing Denver specialty for us. Halal preparation is similarly available. Tell us your standards (kosher-style vs strict kosher with separated kitchen, dairy-free vs strict dairy separation, halal sourcing requirements, Eid timing windows, Passover programming) and we'll execute accordingly.
Wednesday: menu for the following week is posted to your dashboard, with substitution requests accepted through Friday. Saturday: ingredient procurement at Marczyk Fine Foods, the Cherry Creek farmers market, and our regular protein and produce sources. Sunday morning: chef-led production. Sunday afternoon: delivery in chef-grade containers to your door (Cherry Hills, Greenwood Village, Polo Club, Hilltop, Crestmoor, Wash Park, Observatory Park, Highlands, LoDo). Eat across the week as needed. Containers come back the following Sunday for clean-and-reuse. No long-term contract; pause for travel weeks at no charge.
Our chef-driven weekly meal prep runs in a different per-plate band than supermarket-tier subscription services — we're not competing on price with Factor or HelloFresh. Per-plate pricing depends on your dietary protocol complexity, weekly plate count, and protein selection. We provide a transparent per-plate quote in your custom plan proposal. Most Denver weekly plans run in the range a household chef would charge for their day rate divided across the plate count.
Our Denver delivery zones cover Cherry Hills Village, Greenwood Village, Polo Club, Hilltop, Crestmoor Park, Country Club, Observatory Park, Wash Park, the Highlands, downtown LoDo, and the Union Station district. We also deliver to Boulder, Lone Tree, and the broader Denver Tech Center on a route-by-route basis — tell us your address during the intake call and we'll confirm route eligibility.
Yes — plan flexibility is the design intent. Scale plates up the week before holiday hosting, scale down for travel weeks (or skip entirely with no charge), pause the program for ski-season residencies in Vail or Aspen, restart on your return. We don't run on long-term contracts. The relationship is week-to-week with a 5-day notice window for substantial changes.
Yes — many of our Denver weekly meal prep clients also book us for private dinner parties at home, milestone celebrations, anniversary dinners, and corporate hosting. The relationship is continuous: the chef who plans your weekly meals also runs your dinner party. Cherry Hills, Greenwood Village, and Hilltop households often run continuous weekly meal prep punctuated by 4-6 hosted events a year. See our Denver private chef service →
Cherry Hills Village, Greenwood Village, Polo Club, Hilltop, Crestmoor Park, Country Club neighborhood, Observatory Park, Wash Park, the Highlands, downtown LoDo, the Union Station district, plus Boulder, Lone Tree, and the broader Denver Tech Center on a route-by-route basis. We're working through Front Range zone expansion as the program grows. If your address isn't in a current delivery zone, tell us — we add zones as demand justifies.
