Provo Catering
for BYU-anchored Utah Valley

Provo is the Utah Valley's largest city and one of the fastest-growing UHNW corridors in the West — Brigham Young University drives a substantial professional class, and Silicon Slopes south (the Lehi-Provo tech corridor: Qualtrics, Vivint, MX Technologies, Domo, Pluralsight, Recursion Pharmaceuticals) has produced a generational expansion of tech executive wealth. Layered against that is the established LDS-affiliated business class (Romney, Huntsman, and adjacent family networks) and BYU faculty at the upper end. The market is dominantly year-round-resident driven rather than seasonal-tourism driven.

MileHighCook caters across Sleepy Hollow, Slate Canyon, the Y Mountain area foothills, Edgemont, Indian Hills, the Riverwoods, the Alpine and Highland premium-suburb corridor extending toward Cottonwood Heights, and ranch properties in the Heber Valley. Sophisticated alcohol-free menu pairing is a Utah Valley specialty — LDS-influenced alcohol culture means a meaningful share of high-end hosting is alcohol-free by client preference, and the mocktail and beverage program is treated with the same rigor as a wine program. Restaurant-Level Catering,
BYU & Silicon Slopes South

MileHighCook's Provo catering covers every detail — from custom menu and beverage-program design through full kitchen execution at private estates, BYU campus venues, the Riverwoods event spaces, or Heber Valley ranch properties, professional service staff, equipment rentals when guest counts call for them, and complete post-event cleanup. Large-guest-count execution at restaurant-level quality is the defining Provo specialty — LDS weddings routinely run 200-500 guests with multi-event 3-4 day arcs, which most national operators don't execute well at the upper tier.

Whether you're hosting a 60-guest BYU graduation family dinner at a Sleepy Hollow estate, a 350-guest LDS wedding reception at a Heber Valley ranch venue (with rehearsal dinner, sealing breakfast, and open house bracketing it), a 120-guest Silicon Slopes tech IPO celebration at the Riverwoods, a 40-guest Marriott School of Business donor dinner, or a B'nai Mitzvah event for the Provo Jewish community, our All-Inclusive approach means one transparent quote with no hidden add-ons. We work in private homes, the Riverwoods, BYU campus venues, the Provo Tabernacle (historic), the Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City when overflow calls for it, and Heber Valley ranch properties.

BYU Graduation, Silicon Slopes & Multi-Event LDS Wedding

01

BYU Graduation Weekend

April BYU graduation (the largest private-dining window of the Provo year). Multi-family graduation dinners are extremely common — LDS graduations routinely draw 50-100 family members from across the country, and Sleepy Hollow and Foothills estate hosting absorbs much of that demand. Hotels book out months in advance.

April Peak
02

Silicon Slopes South Corporate

Lehi-Provo tech corridor hosting — Qualtrics, Vivint, MX Technologies, Domo, Pluralsight, Recursion Pharmaceuticals all run substantial annual events, IPO celebrations, and milestone hosting. Sorenson Capital, Pelion, and EPIC Ventures drive PE/VC events. Holiday corporate hosting (December) is the year's second-largest demand peak.

Lehi-Provo Corridor
03

Multi-Event LDS Wedding

200-500 guest LDS weddings with 3-4 day multi-event arcs — the largest distinct wedding category in our footprint by guest count. Rehearsal dinners, sealing-day brunches, reception receptions, and open houses are common. Per-event spend ranges $50k to $500k+ all-in. Alcohol-free programming is the norm rather than exception.

Wagyu New York

The MileHighCook Difference

Provo Catering, From Scratch

While most marketplaces, resort F&B teams, and volume operators rely on coordinators or printed banquet sheets, every MileHighCook event is built around three principles.

Not a Coordinator

Chef Steve plans and runs every event personally. No sales coordinator. No sub-contractor. The person you talk to on day one is the person on-site the night of.

Your Menu,
Not Their Banquet Sheet

Every menu built from scratch around your guests, your venue, your season. No package tiers. No printed banquet kit. No “pick three from column A.” Yours, not ours.

BYU graduation weekend (April, ~5 days) is the highest-demand private-dining window of the Provo year and the strongest Sleepy Hollow and Foothills estates book 6-12 months ahead. Multi-event LDS weddings (rehearsal dinner through open house, sometimes spanning a Friday-Saturday-Sunday arc) typically lock 9-18 months out for the most desired Heber Valley ranch venues. Silicon Slopes Summit satellite events (late September/early October), holiday corporate hosting (December), and Sundance Film Festival overflow into the Heber Valley (mid-to-late January) all book 3-6 months ahead. Earlier booking gives meaningful flexibility on chef availability and ingredient sourcing.
Yes — BYU campus venues (graduation hosting and Marriott School of Business donor dinners), the Riverwoods (one of the strongest Provo event corridors), the Provo Tabernacle (historic), the Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City for overflow when Provo accommodations max out, and Heber Valley ranch properties (the dominant LDS wedding venue type) are all regular venues for our work. Most of our private estate work happens in Sleepy Hollow, the Y Mountain foothills, and the Alpine-Highland corridor.
Our All-Inclusive proposal covers chef and culinary team, all ingredients (sourced through the SLC supply chain — one of the most responsive in the Mountain West), prep, cooking, plating, professional table service (servers, attendants, beverage specialists), equipment and rental needs at scale (200-500 guest weddings have substantial rental layers), travel across Utah Valley and into the Heber Valley, and complete post-event cleanup. No hidden fees, no shopping surcharges, no add-ons after the fact.
Multi-event LDS weddings are the defining Provo catering specialty. The typical arc spans 3-4 days: a Friday-evening rehearsal dinner, a Saturday-morning sealing breakfast, the main reception, and often an open house attended by hundreds of additional family and ward guests. Each event has different formality, dietary, and beverage demands — the rehearsal dinner is often the most elevated and intimate, the open house the most volume-driven. We program the entire arc as a single coordinated proposal rather than four separate ones, and we run alcohol-free beverage programming as a sophisticated default rather than a workaround.
Yes — this is one of the defining Utah Valley specialties. LDS-influenced alcohol culture means a meaningful share of high-end Provo hosting is alcohol-free by client preference, and the mocktail and non-alcoholic beverage program is treated with the same rigor as a wine program (artisan shrubs, house-made syrups, non-alcoholic spirits, sophisticated tea pairings, fermented and effervescent options). For mixed events, we run parallel alcohol and alcohol-free programs so guests on either side get a polished pairing experience.
Yes. Gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, vegan, family-friendly multi-generational menus (a defining Provo ask given the multi-event LDS pattern), heart-healthy and longevity-focused for the older generation, performance-aligned (the Wasatch Front fitness culture is real), and complex layered restrictions are all standard. Large-guest-count dietary management at restaurant quality is a real differentiator — most national operators handle 50-100 guest dietary lists smoothly but lose quality at the 200-500 guest scale.
Provo's sourcing is excellent — the SLC supply chain (45 minutes north) gives us access to one of the most responsive specialty ingredient distribution networks in the Mountain West. Wagyu, dry-aged proteins, sushi-grade seafood, French and Italian specialty products, and same-day European cheese imports are routine. Local Utah Valley produce and Heber Valley proteins round out the program. The combination of metro proximity and rapidly growing UHNW demand has made Provo logistically as accessible as SLC itself.
Yes — confidentiality clauses and NDAs are standard for Provo work. Silicon Slopes corporate events (IPO celebrations, M&A milestones, board hosting), established LDS family hosting, PE and VC firm events, and BYU donor circles all routinely involve discretion requirements. Tell us your standards and we'll execute accordingly.
We serve Sleepy Hollow, Slate Canyon, the Y Mountain area foothills, Edgemont, Indian Hills, the Riverwoods, the Alpine and Highland premium-suburb corridor extending toward the Cottonwood Heights border, and Heber Valley ranch properties (30 minutes east of Provo). Travel across Utah and Wasatch Counties is built into the All-Inclusive proposal — you won't see distance surcharges added separately.
Reschedules are handled case-by-case. Generally: 90+ days out, full deposit transfers to the new date with no penalty. 30-90 days, partial transfer with a re-stocking adjustment. Less than 30 days, the available remedy depends on the date, the ingredient sourcing already in motion, and team scheduling. BYU graduation weekend reschedules and 200-500 guest LDS wedding reschedules are particularly tight given vendor coordination at scale — we'll always be transparent about what's possible.
